  1. If you have an autoimmune disease, are prone to develop others. I know many women who have hypothyroidism, polycystic ovary syndrome. It was an article today at about.com about the relationship between hypothyroidism and insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is a major symptom of PCOS. I put the link below.

If your thyroid test, make sure your test is tomorrow. An attempt to stop too often delayed diagnosis of hypothyroidism. It happened to me. You also want a free T3, free T 4 and an antibody test. Most doctors only TSH and go through the old rules, if you can then test to determine their number.

  2. Never heard of them remain connected. I'm curious what others have found about this.

  3. Yes, it seems, found a connection between the two .... has documented a lot lately actually.
It is in this book as well (see below). It's amazing how many things are PCO syndrome, and as you know more about the disease and to keep pace. The website under "soulcysters" is also very good because of other things that patients sometimes do not realize are related to post! It would be useful to read a little before the appointment with the doctor - often the doctor is not much about PCOS if they know it formed some years ago (unless you see a specialist!). Good luck with your appointment! :)
